UTICA - The Glove Cities Colonials kicked off Northeastern Football Alliance season Saturday night with a 19-0 victory over the Utica Yard Dawgs.
Quarterback Justin Kastner threw for 166 yards and two touchdowns, while Jason Quinn was on the receiving end of both touchdown strikes.
The Colonials (1-0) put the game away in the fourth quarter when Nick Carr ran an interception back seven yards for a touchdown.
On defense, Brandon Insognia led the way with two sacks and a fumble recovery, while James Meher and Seth Lamertson recorded seven tackles apiece.
Glove Cities will host the Oneonta City Stallions next Saturday at Knox Field. Kick off is set for 7:30 p.m.
