GLOVERSVILLE - City police on Thursday arrested three men on drug charges during an investigation into marijuana plants police confiscated from a city home.
Police said Kenneth Kendall McKiver, also known as Kenneth Robinson, 20, of 9 N. Water St., was arrested during a traffic stop on Bleecker Street after a long-term investigation and was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance - both felonies. Police said McKiver, who is on parole for a prior drug sale, sold crack cocaine to an undercover officer.
He was sent to the Fulton County Jail in lieu of $100,000 bail or $100,000 bond.
A passenger in McKiver's vehicle, Gary A. Robinson, 26, of 29 Miller St., Johnstown, was charged with possession of marijuana.
The Johnstown Police Department and K-9 officer Spike helped with the traffic stop. The state police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team helped with the investigation.
Police charged Mark E. Passino, 50, of 66 Washington St., with criminal sale of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a controlled substance - both felonies - after long-term investigations by city police and state police in the case, police said. He was sent to the Fulton County Jail without bail.
Passino lives about a block from where police said the marijuana was discovered, at 70 1/2 E. Fulton St. The investigation is continuing into who owns the marijuana plants.
