GLOVERSVILLE - The Gloversville 50-55 Plus Club had its memorial service at its meeting Monday.

Ginny Mohrman and Elaine Maxwell lead the services. Leo Visconti played the piano.

Every year around Memorial Day, the seniors remember club members who died from May of the previous year through May of the current year.

A flower was carried and placed in a vase on a table lit with candles. In memory of club members who died from May 2011 through this month, a flower was carried for the following: Harry Hayes by John Adams; Marie Hallenbeck by Carol Coon; Warren Vaughn by Mary Smith; Frances Lauria by Betty Fancher; William Kratky by Richard Rummler; Salvatore Landrio by Antimo Gazzillo; Marguerite "Peggy" Regan by Mary Lou Adams; Armida Calandra by Ginny McCue; Julian "Chuck" Tofinchio by Marion DeSantis; Frank Ambrose by John Nicosia; Jean M. Ameduri by Betty Lou Myers; James Armstrong by Dominick DeChiro; James Boles by Patricia Boles; Edith W. Frederick by Beverly DeChiro.

There will be no meeting Monday. The Senior Citizens Service Center of Gloversville & Fulton County will be closed.

The club's annual picnic will be July 15 at the Johnstown Moose Club. The tickets are on sale at the club, available from Carol Coon.
