JOHNSTOWN - Gloversville's Liz Hogan was the lone local individual champion at the Section II Class BB track and field championship Thursday at Knox Field.
The senior shot putter recorded a best throw of 35-09 1/2 to win the title over Glens Falls' Zoe Doolittle who threw 35-07 1/2.
The Huskies also got top-three performances from Chanel Thomas, Dayna Peck and Alex Bielli along with the the 400- and 1,600-meter relay teams.

Thomas placed second in the 100-meter hurdles with her time of 16.2, while Peck was third in the 100-meter dash with her time of 13.28. Bielli placed third in the long jump with a leap of 15-05.
Thomas, Peck and Bielli teamed with Amanda Cabrera-Case to place second with a time of 51.2 in the 400-meter relay. Thomas, Peck and Bielli then teamed with Carolyn Peck to take third in the 1,600-meter relay with a time of 4:12. Kayla Edgar placed sixth in the pole vault, clearing the bar at 8-06.
Cody Webber placed third in the shot put for the Gloversville boys with a toss of 42-09. Alex Gifford placed fourth in the 1,600-meter run in 4:30 and sixth in the 800-meters (2:04.9), while Matthew Rivera was fifth in the 400-meter hurdles (1:01.2) and Adam Sleezer placed fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:47.1). John Knox II was sixth in the 1,600-meters with a time of 4:35.03. Ashley Dona placed fifth in the pole vault with a height of 8-06.
Johnstown's Morgan Dick placed fourth in the 200-meter dash with her time of 27.01 and Meghan Bartlett was sixth in the shot put with a toss of 33-09 3/4.
The Gloversville girls placed fifth in the team standings with 48 points, while the Lady Bills were 14th with seven points.
The Gloversville boys finished 12th with 18 points, while Johnstown did not score in the meet.
Queensbury swept the team championships, while Holy Names was runner-up on the girls side and Averill Park was second in the boys competition.
In the Class A boys sectional championships Thursday at Guilderland High School, freshman Izaiah Brown was the lone overall winner for the Amsterdam boys team.
Brown won the 400-meter title with his time of 49.14. Brown also finished fifth in the high jump (5-10). Senior Matthew White took home three sectional shields. White placed second in the 200-meter dash (22.70) and high jump (6-01) and was third in the 110-meter hurdles (15.46).
The Rams scored 46 points to finish in a three-way tie for fifth with Bethlehem and Colonie. Shaker won the boys title.
In Thursday's Section III Class C-1 girls championships held at Herkimer High School, Dolgeville's Nichole Bliss won the shot put title with a toss of 36-4 1/2.
Tuesday, Ashley Mettler ran fifth in the 2,000-meter steeplechase at the Section III Class C-1 steeplechase meet at Canastota High School.
Mettler finished with a time of 8:11.1.
