Thomas and Diane Power of Hagaman announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Power, to Robert Thelin, the son of Jack and Betsy Thelin of Amsterdam.
Power, who is a graduate of Amsterdam High School, received a bachelor's degree in adolescent English education from the State University of New York at Cortland and a master's degree in curriculum development and instructional technology from the SUNY at Albany. She is employed as an English teacher at Amsterdam High School.
Thelin, who is a graduate of Amsterdam High School, received a bachelor's degree in secondary social studies education from SUNY at Cortland and a master's degree in literacy from The College of St. Rose. He is employed as a social studies teacher at Mayfield Junior-Senior High School.
