Pauline L. Deere

Pauline L. Deere, 88, of State Hwy. 29A, Gloversville, died Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at the Nathan Littauer Hospital after being stricken. She was born in Broadalbin, N.Y., on October 24, 1923, the daughter of the late William and Jennie Carr Steenburg.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Bleecker Street Church of Christ and was on the cradle roll since birth.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Deere, in 1997.

Survivors include her son, William (Regina) Deere; three daughters, Evelyn (John) Brindle, Janet (Larry) Greenfield and Gail (William) Crankshaw; one brother, Clemente (Ruby) Steenburg; and her twin sister, Catherine Colson. She also is survived by sixteen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandbabies with one more expected in June. She was predeceased by her one sister and five brothers.

Friends may call on Friday, May 18, 2012, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Gloversville Funeral Service, 4 Second Ave., Gloversville, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Gloversville.
