Julie Settle, the daughter of Michael and Lorinda Settle of St. Johnsville, was united in marriage to Matthew Adamchick, the son of Steven and Judith Adamchick of Amsterdam on Aug. 5, 2011.
The ceremony took place at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, St. Johnsville. Douglas Weber, from the Cornell University Navigators staff, officiated.
The maid of honor was Olivia Widger of Rochester, Monroe County. The bridal attendants were Caitlyn and Alison Adamchick, sisters of the bridegroom; Shannon Smith of Ithaca, Tompkins County, Alexandra Jiminez of Tucson, Ariz., and Allison Villeneuve of St. Johnsville.

The best man was Ryan Harrington of Hagaman. The groomsmen were Kyle Settle of St. Johnsville, brother of the bride, Robert Lichtenthal III of Lewiston, Maine; and Brian Michalski, Edward Cotugno and Jay Mycek, all of Amsterdam.
A reception took place at Pine Lake following the ceremony. The guests attended from New York, California, Colorado, Washington, Texas, South Carolina, Indiana, Illinois, Connecticut, Vermont, Alabama, Massachusetts, Arizona, China, Canada and Costa Rica.
The wedding trip took place in Reykjavik, Iceland. The couple resides in Ithaca.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of St. Johnsville High School and a 2009 graduate of Cornell University. She is a student at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University.
The bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Amsterdam High School and a 2009 graduate of Clarkson University. He is employed as a design engineer at Mirion Technologies, Horseheads, Chemung County.
