This past weekend, Johnstown held its annual junior prom. Going out on a limb, we, the junior class, experimented with a new element for prom - a prom walk.
It was thought that it would help ease the transition away from the hectic tradition of the "drop off" that was buckled down on this year by local authorities. The prom walk was largely a success, along with prom itself.
It was really outstanding to see so many places in the community help out for this momentous day for more than 290 high school students. On behalf of the class of 2013, I would like to extend my gratitude toward the following businesses/people for making the prom the success it was: Mrs. Robin Farrell, Mr. Ronald Savoie, Ace Hardware, Price Chopper, Walgreen's Pharmacy, Walmart, Derby Print, Hannaford, Ursula's of Switzerland, Mr. and Mrs. Nichols of Lake George, Ruby & Quiri and Mr. Scott Jeffers.
