GLOVERSVILLE - A Johnstown man is facing charges after city police saw a shotgun in the convicted felon's vehicle.
William F. Sawyer, 50, of 813 North Bush Road, was charged with two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Police said an officer was walking on South Main Street when he saw a parked car with an open front passenger window.
On the passenger seat was a break-breach shotgun that was open with an exposed live shell in the barrel, police said.
Police said they also found a loaded rifle in the vehicle's trunk.
Police said Sawyer was a convicted felon and he was not permitted to have the weapons in his possession.
He was arraigned by Assistant City Court Judge Joan Antonik and sent to the Fulton County Jail on $15,000 bail.
