MOHAWK - A St. Johnsville man is facing a felony criminal mischief charge after allegedly stalking his ex-girlfriend, then damaging her car.
State police arrested Corey B. Perrigo, 23, at 7 p.m. April 15 at state police barracks in Glen and charged him with criminal mischief and aggravated harassment.
Police said he was stalking an ex-girlfriend, leaving voicemail messages, before tracking down her car at her home in the town and smashing the windshield and causing damage in the rear of the vehicle.
The incident was reported to state police around 9 a.m. the day he was arrested.
Police said Perrigo admitted to causing the damage, which cost about $400.
He was sent to the Montgomery County Jail on an unspecified amount of bail.
