AMSTERDAM - City police continue to investigate an incident in which two people were injured Monday night.

Sgt. Michael Cole said police were called to a residence at 9 Clinton St. at 9:37 p.m. Monday on a report of a possible stabbing. Police interviewed a female victim who had a small wound on her abdomen. The woman, who police did not identify, was treated at St. Mary's Healthcare and released. An unidentified man who complained of pain also was treated at the hospital and released, Cole said.

A sharp object was recovered at the scene. Cole declined to say whether the object was a weapon and did not identify the incident as a stabbing.
