Police: Three stole pipes and cigarettes

JOHNSTOWN - Three Gloversville residents were charged by city police Friday with breaking into a store and stealing pipes and cigarettes.

Police said those charged were: Joseph R. Ryle, 19, of 35 Third St.; Amy L. Johnson, 22, 14 William St.; and Austin G. Syzdeck, 18, of 39 West St. They were each charged with third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree burglary and petit larceny.

Police said the suspects broke into the Daily Mart, 464 N. Perry St., at 3 p.m. Friday, taking glass smoking pipes and four cartons of cigarettes.

The suspects were send to the Fulton County Jail pending further court action.
