Mr. Harold J. Flint Sr., 84, of Hickory Hill Road, Fonda, N.Y., died peacefully on Thursday, April 5, 2012.
A lifelong area resident, Harold was born in Tribes Hill, N.Y., on April 10, 1927, to the late Delos and Martha McKinney Flint. Harold was a master mechanic for many years, retiring from Talarico and Sons Construction Co. in Herkimer. Harold will be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing, playing guitar and singing.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Delos Flint and Hazel Pavlus.
Survivors include: his wife of 63 years, Margaret T. Flint; his seven children, Harold "Jim" Flint Jr. and his wife Joelle, Kathleen Wadsworth and her husband Lyle, Theresa Santos, Thomas Flint and his wife Bobbie Jean, Patricia Pavlus and her husband Bruce, Margaret Albrecht and her husband Karl and Mary Vandenabeele and her husband Pierre; 18 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service of remembrance will be held on Harold's 85th birthday, Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, Sand Flats, Fonda, N.Y. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
