FMCC splits twinbill

JOHNSTOWN - The Fulton-Montgomery Community College baseball team split a doubleheader with Schenectady County Community College on Friday.

The Raiders won the first game, 9-6, before the Royals won the second game, 13-3.

In the first game, Brent Baker had a single, double and triple to lead the FMCC offense.

Johnny Faison and Keenan Shannon each had a single and a triple for the Raiders, while Joe Cespuglio, Dillon Holcomb, Genesis Cruz and Owen Chizek each recorded singles.

In the second game, Schenectady County used an eight-run sixth inning to pull away for the win.

Baker, Faison, Shannon and Bryant Solano all had singles for the Raiders.

MCC (2-13 overall, 1-6 Region III) will travel to Jefferson Community College today for a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
