JOHNSTOWN?- The Johnstown 50 Plus Club, housed in the Shirley J. Luck Building, has some big events coming up.

Through April there is an event every Thursday.

On Thursday, rather than the normal business meeting, the group plans to color eggs for Easter. On April 12, the club will have its monthly meeting, and cake for all who have birthdays and anniversaries in the month. On April 13, there will be the last planning meeting for the bazaar. Venders are welcome to set up after 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on April 13 for the Bazaar on?April 14. The doors will open to the public at 8:30 a.m. and the doors close at 2:30 p.m.

On April 19, the club has planned a movie day. They will be going to the Johnstown Theater at 1:15 p.m. to see a comedy. Popcorn and soda are included in the ticket price, which is $3 per person at the door. This is for the 50 Plus members and their friends.

The big trip of the year heads off to Bermuda on April 21. The group plans to return on the April 26.

On April 26, the center will have guests from radio station WENT, Tom and Steve. They will be there at 3:30 p.m. and tell us more about our local station. At 5 p.m., we have our first covered dish dinner of the season. People should remember to bring their own place setting and a dish to pass to friends, a news release said. The center will provide the main meat dish for the meal.

On April 30, workers from the bazaar will go to a wrap up luncheon.

There are nine trips in the works right now, the release said.
