State police arrested Samer S. Abdelhak, 22, Randy A. Weiderman, 24, and Jocelyn M. Bishop, 21, at 9:15 p.m. Saturday after stopping their vehicle on the westbound New York State Thruway in Princetown, near Rotterdam, about a half-hour earlier.

State police said more than 5 pounds of marijuana was found in the trunk of the vehicle.

Abdelhak was charged with criminal sale of marijuana and criminal possession of marijuana - both felonies - along with obstructing governmental administration, a misdemeanor. He was sent to the Schenectady County Jail in lieu of bail.

Weiderman was charged with felony criminal possession of marijuana and sent to the Schenectady County Jail in lieu of bail.

Bishop was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, and released on an appearance ticket.
