50 Plus Club plans chocolate day

February 4, 2012
The Leader Herald

JOHNSTOWN - The Johnstown 50 Plus Club, housed in the Shirley J. Luck Senior Citizens Center, 109 E. Main St., recently had its monthly club meeting.

The club noted all Mike Tibbetts has done for the relief efforts for the flood victims in Schoharie County. Tibbetts, who has spent months taking donations to the residents of Schoharie County, has traveled at his own expense and transported many items, a news release said.

On Thursday, the club will have their Valentine card party. The ticket price has increased to $5 per person. Sign up as soon as possible so food items needed for the day can be purchased.

On Feb. 13, the club will have its first scheduled planning meeting for its annual bazaar. Plan to be at the center by 11:30 a.m. to start the process of organizing the event, the release said.

On Feb. 16, there will be a chocolate day, where the club will have different chocolates to try.

The new Evesdropper for February is out and available at the center.
