Amanda Dean Brookins, the daughter of Craig and Carol Brookins of Gloversville, was united in marriage to Jefferson Albert Ellinger, the son of William and Judy Ellinger of Springboro, Ohio, at 8 p.m. Aug. 13, 2011.
The outdoor ceremony took place at Fox Hollow, Woodbury, Nassau County, at nightfall on the north shore of Long Island. Michael Oatman officiated.
The bride was escorted by her father.

The maid of honor was Ashley Hanrahan of Carmel, Putnam County. The bridal attendants were Jaclyn Hoye of Gloversville; Lori Stocker and Melissa Sweeterman, sisters of the bridegroom; Jennifer Dean and Lisa Chiaramonte, cousins of the bride. The flower girls included Paige Chiaramonte Jessica Dean.
The best man was Shaun Breslin of Cleveland, Ohio. The groomsmen included Andrew Brookins, brother of the bride; "Booie" Denio of Troy, Karl Stocker of Ellington, Conn., Luke Sweeterman of Hendersonville, N.C., and David Riebe of Wilmington, N.C. The ringbearer was William Stocker.
A reception for 125 guests took place at Fox Hollow after the ceremony.
A wedding trip took place in Hawaii. The couple resides in New York City.
The bride is a graduate of Gloversville High School and received a bachelor of architecture degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a master's degree in advanced architectural design from Columbia University. She is a project manager for Ogawa Depardon Architects, Manhattan.
The bridegroom is a graduate of The Ohio State University, where he studied architecture and material science and received a master of architecture degree from Columbia University. He is a professor of architecture at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and is a co-founder and principal of the firm E/Ye Design.
