FONDA - One night after dropping a 57-22 decision to Cohoes, the Fonda-Fultonville wrestling team was back in action Thursday against Cobleskill-Richmondville in a Colonial Council contest.
Unfortunately for the Braves, the end result was the same as the Bulldogs rolled to a 50-15 victory.
"We just didn't wrestle well," Fonda-Fultonville coach Matthew Lewis said. "We also were missing a few kids from the lineup. It's always tough to have that many forfeits."

After having 11 wrestlers available for Wednesday's match with Cohoes, the Braves were down to just eight wrestlers 24 hours later.
As a result, FFCS forfeited seven weight classes against the Bulldogs. However, Cobleskill-Richmondville also had its share of forfeits Thursday as it was unable to fill four weight classes.
"We're always hurting for numbers, but the quality of wrestlers we have is good," Lewis said. "The kids we have are just solid wrestlers. We can always count on them."
The match began without a match for the first six weight classes beginning with a double forfeit at 99 pounds.
There also were double forfeits at 126 and 132 pounds.
In between, Fonda-Fultonville's Kelsey Gray collected a forfeit win at 106 pounds, while Devin Cooper (113 pounds) and A.J. Fletcher (120) claimed forfeit wins for the Bulldogs.
The end result was a 12-6 lead for Cobleskill-Richmondville prior to the first head-to-head contest of the night at 138 pounds.
Zac Cooper posted a win for the Bulldogs, outlasting Dom Mancini to post an 8-2 decision.
At 145 pounds, Stephen Selerno pinned Fonda-Fultonville's Eli Cole to give his team a 21-6 lead.
Nick Rehberg collected a forfeit win at 152 pounds to extend the Cobleskill-Richmondville streak to three straight matches.
At 160 pounds, Schuyler Broadwell posted a technical-fall victory over the Braves' Robert Bagley, winning 15-0 in 5:08.
The Bulldogs picked up a pair of first-period pins at 170 and 182 pounds to seal the win and push their lead to 44-6.
Mike Green pinned Fonda-Fultonville's Dallas Wolfkiel in 41 seconds at 170, while Derrick Knight pinned the Braves' Cody Cooper in 1:32 at 182 pounds.
Fonda-Fultonville won two of the final three matches of the night, but it was too little too late,
Bobby VanAlstyne (195 pounds) earned a 6-2 decision over the Bulldogs' Tanner Shufelt, while Eric Moyer (285) pinned Cobleskill-Richmondville's Zach McFarland in 1:43.
"It's good to have Eric [Moyer] bounce back and get a win after a tough loss last night," Lewis said.
Don Thorington collected the final win of the night for the Bulldogs, picking up a forfeit victory at 220 pounds.
Cobleskill-Richmondville (10-10 overall, 3-2 Colonial) will compete at the Oneonta Rotary Invitational today and Saturday.
Fonda-Fultonville (8-10 overall, 1-5 Colonial) will compete in the Greg Rockwood Memorial Tournament on Saturday at Galway High School.
"The tournament is going to be a tough one," Lewis said. "There will be a lot of good teams there, so we need to be ready. We've got a lot of work to do in practice Friday."
