Camille D. Albanese, 96, of Gloversville, passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Nathan Littauer Hospital Nursing Home. Camille was born July 5, 1915, to the late Salvatore and Vincenzia Intelisano Averna. On July 27, 1941, she was married to the late William Albanese. William passed away in 1984.
Camille was retired from Nathan Littauer Hospital after 15 years of loyal and dedicated service as a Certified Nurse's Aide.
Camille will be remembered for her love of family, and loved when everyone was together. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Lymn and David (Susan) Albanese of Gloversville; her grandchildren, Gordon Lymn of Florida, Karen Lymn of Georgia, Sarah and Haley Albanese of Gloversville; also great-grandchild, Nicolle Lymn of Gloversville. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Camille was predeceased by her brother, Vincent James Averna.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 3, 2012, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Amico Funeral Home, 150 South Main Street, Gloversville. A Mass of Christian burial will take place on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Spirit. Interment will take place at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Johnstown in the spring.
