December 26, 2011
By The Leader-Herald (sports@leaderherald.com) , The Leader Herald

As it did on the field this season, the Broadalbin-Perth boys soccer team cleaned up off the field as well.

The Patriots went 19-0-3 this season, winning the state Class B title with a 1-0 win over The Wheatley School in Middletown.

Broadalbin-Perth senior forward Dominic Kwiatkowski, who led B-P with 36 goals and 12 assists, was named to the small-school (Classes B, C, D) all-state team as a first-team all-star.

Kwiatkowski was the only Section II player named a first-team all-star.

Joining Kwiatkowski on the all-state team was B-P senior goalkeeper Madison Wilcox, who was named to the small-school fourth team. Wilcox allowed just 11 goals in 22 games this season and posted 13 shutouts for the Patriots, who also won the Foothills Council title with an 11-0-3 record.

Kwiatkowski and Wilcox were also named the Section II Class B Player and Goalkeeper of the Year, respectively, by the Section II soccer committee at the Section II boys soccer banquet in Saratoga Springs on Dec. 11. B-P coach Brian Henry, who posted his 100th career win this season, was named the Section II Class B Coach of the Year.
