Irina Sultanova, the daughter of Pavel and Nadezda Sultonov of Podolsk, Russia, was united in marriage to Ted Spiry, the son of Lorraine Spiry of Gloversville and the late Jerome Spiry at 4 p.m. Aug. 6.
The ceremony took place at the home of Lorraine Spiry. Fulton County Surrogate Judge Richard Giardino officiated.
The bride was escorted by Dale Spiry of Hollywood, Fla., brother of the bridegroom.

The maid of honor was Yulia Siegle of Amsterdam. The flower girl was Polina Chernisheva of Russia.
The best man was Darin Spiry of Gloversville, son of the bridegroom. The ringbearer was Mike Siegel.
A reception dinner for 25 guests took place at Harold's Restaurant, Gloversville. A celebration for approximately 110 friends and neighbors took place Aug. 7, at DeVoe Park.
A wedding trip will be taken in January to Bora Bora, French Polynesia.
The bride is working toward a master's degree in chemical engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She is employed as an intern at GE Global Research Center, Niskayuna.
The bridegroom is employed as an installation and repair technician for Frontier Communications.
