Anthony and Lillian Ambrosino of Gloversville recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Harold's Restaurant, Gloversville. The dinner celebration was attended by their daughter and her husband, Toni and Nestor Bojarczuk of Pleasant Valley, Dutchess County; their two grandchildren, Dana and her husband, Brian, Burckhard of Pleasant Valley, and Eric and his wife, Tina, Bojarczuk of Stormville, Dutchess County; and their four great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Natalie Burckhard, Lilliana and Margaret Bojarczuk. They also have a son and his wife, Phil and Kathi Ambrosino of Olympia, Wash.
The former Lillian Cole was married Oct. 17, 1941, in Chesterfield, S.C., to Anthony Ambrosino while he was serving in the U.S. Army. They were married in a double wedding ceremony with Joseph and Dora Baccari of Schenectady and were each others attendants.
Lillian Ambrosino graduated from Gloversville High School and later worked as a laboratory technician for Nathan Littauer Hospital, retiring in 1982.

Anthony Ambrosino served in the 51st Signal Battalion during World War II in a medical detachment as a staff sergeant, both stateside and overseas. He worked in the leather industry as a foreman for the West Brook Glove Co. and the Perrella Glove Co. of Gloversville.
They both enjoyed traveling worldwide, bowling, playing cards and both have been active in the local veterans organizations.
