Brittany Margaret Miles, the daughter of Scott and Carla Miles of Lassellsville, was united in marriage to Michael James Pawelek, the son of Richard and Bona Starring and Ted and Darlene Pawelek, all of Little Falls, Herkimer County, at 3 p.m. Sept. 24.

The ceremony took place at Pine Lake Park beach, Caroga Lake. The Rev. Ann Zimmerman officiated.

The bride was escorted by her father, Scott Miles.

The maid of honor was Alyssa Duesler of Oppenheim. The bridal attendants were Katie Scanlon of Stratford, Mallory Burr of Gloversville, Nikole Hulten and Kathy Davis, both of Little Falls, Andrea Zuis of Virginia Beach, Va., and Melissa Borden of Newport, Herkimer County, stepsister of the bridegroom.

The best man was Jeff Johnson of Little Falls. The ushers were Scott Starring, Denny Davis and Phil Petkovsek, all of Little Falls; Treyten Borden of Newport, nephew of the bridegroom; and Seth and Tyler Miles, both of Lassellsville, brothers of the bride.

A reception for approximately 200 guests took place inside the Adirondack Paradise at Pine Lake Park.

A wedding trip is planned for Alaska in 2012. The couple resides in St. Johnsville.

The bride is a 2005 graduate of Oppenheim-Ephratah Central School, a 2009 graduate of Cornell University, and a 2010 graduate of Cornell University Graduate School. She is a middle school science teacher with the Rome City School District, Oneida County.

The bridegroom is a 2001 graduate of Little Falls High School and a graduate of Herkimer County Community College. He is employed with Verizon Wireless as a sales representative.
