Margaret Parker, daughter of Charles Parker Sr. of Esperance, Schoharie County, and Rita and David Hart of Fort Plain, was united in marriage to James Colson Jr., the son of Viola and James Colson Sr. and Susan Yost, all of Gloversville, at 2 p.m. on July 30.
The ceremony took place at North Main Street United Methodist Church, Gloversville. The Rev. Chris Hamm officiated.
The bride was escorted by her father.

The maid of honor was Tina Parker of Fort Plain, sister of the bride. The bridal attendants were Kathy Oeser, sister of the bride, and Charity Borst, both of Gloversville.
The best man was Greg Bonfey of Troy, Rensselaer County. The groomsmen were Charles Parker Jr. of Fort Plain, brother of the bride; Brian Sweet and Alex Wilson, both of Gloversville.
A reception took place at the Johnstown Moose Lodge following the ceremony.
The couple resides in Gloversville.
The bride is a 1996 graduate of Cherry Valley-Springfield High School, Otsego County, and is a homemaker.
The bridegroom is a 1993 graduate of Gloversville High School and a veteran of the Marine Corps. He is employed at Schlegal's Auto, Gloversville.
