Carmine Capparello, the son of Donna and Skip Van Alstyne of Gloversville and Carmine Capparello Jr. of Florida, along with Eva McCarthy, the daughter of Luanne Arnold and Michael McCarthy, of Tulsa, Okla., announce their engagement.
The couple have been engaged since May 2010 and have been awaiting Carmine's return from Iraq to plan their wedding.
Capparello is a chief in the Navy and has spent the last year serving in Iraq.
