Sarah M. Schneider, the daughter of Mark and Patricia Schneider of Gloversville, was united in marriage to Joseph M. Putnam, the son of Marcus and Christine Putnam at 2:30 p.m. July 2.

The ceremony took place at Holy Trinity Church, Johnstown. The Rev. Kenneth Swain officiated.

The maid of honor was Melissa Schneider, sister of the bride. The bridal attendants were Mollee Putnam, sister of the bridegroom and Samanatha Brill.

The best man was John Bennett. The groomsmen were Gregory Buda and Christopher Yerdon.

A reception was held at Hales Mills County Club.

The couple resides in Front Royal, Va.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Gloversville High School and from Oneonta State College, Otsego County, with a degree in secondary education. She is employed as a science teacher with the Warren County School District, Front Royal.

The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Gloversville High School and graduated from Clarkson University with a degree in engineering. He is employed with Professional Service Industries, Fairfax, Va.
