BROADALBIN - The Broadalbin Senior Citizens Club met Aug. 17 for the Fulton?County Office for Aging luncheon and meeting with 35 in people attendance, including guest Stella Schaeffer.
Vivian Tillison led in the Pledge of Allegiance and Kay Leggett led in "The Lord's Prayer," which were recited by those who attended.
President Joe McDonald presided over the meeting.
Ruth Lee, trip chairwoman, passed around trip sheets for signups. She reported the mystery trip went well. The next trip will be Sept. 20 to the Norman Rockwell Museum. Call Lee if interested, a news release said.
David Mackinson, a club member, spoke of the sponsors banquet at 5:30 p.m. today at the Sacandaga Bible Conference.
Laura McDermott gave a current report of the upcoming Christmas party.
The raffle winner was Schaeffer.
Donna Chambers, program director, read two articles. She also noted the thank-you notes she sent out.
The program for the day was make your own sundae day. Chambers organized the event, Toni Hallenbeck dipped ice cream and Jean Wilkinson helped with cleanup.
The next meeting will be Wednesday. All seniors are welcome. If interested in the luncheon, reservations must be made with OFA.
The program will be bingo. People should bring canned goods for the ongoing project to benefit the local food pantry.
