Genevieve Messak, daughter of Joann and Walter Messak of Amsterdam, was united in marriage to Jarred Aldi, the son of Michael Aldi Jr. of Bristow, Va. and the late Darlene Clizbe of Johnstown, at 4 p.m. July 24.
The ceremony took place at the Perthshire. The Rev. Michael H. Terrell officiated.
The bride was escorted by her father.

The maid of honor was Aneisha Liska of Saratoga Springs. The bridesmaids were Melissa Richarz of New Port Richey, Fla., sister of the bride; Mandi Bleyl of Johnstown, sister of the bridegroom; Toni Glasser of Rotterdam; Keelie Sheridan of Brooklyn, Kings County; and Larissa Groesbeck of St. Johnsville. The junior bridesmaids were Salena Bleyl of Johnstown, niece of the bridegroom; and Jeanine and Marrina Messak of Galway, Saratoga County, nieces of the bride. The flower girls were Jillian Richarz of New Port Richey, niece of the bride; and Mia and Kaylee Yeackel of Johnstown, nieces of the bridegroom.
The best man was Anthony Yeackel of Johnstown, brother of the bridegroom. The groomsmen were: Devin Flynn of Fort Plain; James Gordon of Johnstown; Travis D'Amore of Gloversville; Joe Kurtz of Brooklyn; and Derrick Maul of Albany. The ringbearers were Jordan and Ross Pregent of Schenectady, nephews of the bridegroom.
A reception for 150 guests took place at the Perthshire.
The couple resides in Johnstown.
The bride is a summa cum laude graduate of the College of St. Rose, where she received a bachelor's degree in English with a drama minor. She is working toward a master's degree in English literature with a concentration in dramatic literature at the College of Saint Rose.
The bridegroom is a graduate of Fulton-Montgomery Community College and is employed by Lexington ARC.
