James and Karen Oare of Gloversville recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Mary Ann's Restaurant, Broadalbin. The event was hosted by their children, Debra Hockenberry, Diana Putnam; Donnolee, Jim, Chris and Brian Oare.
There were approximately 110 guests who attended from surrounding areas.
The couple married on June 10, 1961, at Mount Carmel Church in Gloversville.

They also have 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
