Sandy Lee Young, the daughter of Donald and Jennifer Young of Gloversville and Elvira Young of Rochester, Monroe County, was united in marriage to Matthew Lill, the son of Mike and Donna Lill of Rochester, on April 2.

The ceremony took place at the Woodall House, Benson, N.C. The Rev. Carl Johnson officiated.

The bride is the granddaughter of Clara Young of Gloversville and the late Donald Young of Oneonta, Otsego County, and Marvin and Elvira Herrick of Johnstown.

The maid of honor was Shannon Ward of Rochester. The bridal attendants were Shannon Pettit of Gloversville, cousin of the bride; and Cynthia Chiang of Rochester.

The best man was Seth Lobdell of Pensacola, Fla. The groomsmen were Andrew Young of Gloversville, brother of the bride; and Sean Perira of Rochester.

A reception for 100 guests took place at the Woodall House.

A wedding trip is planned for August to Ireland. The couple resides in Cary, N.C.

The bride is working toward an accounting degree.

The bridegroom is an Air Force veteran and works as a construction inspector. He also is studying computer engineering.
