BROADALBIN - The Broadalbin Senior Citizens gathered July 20 for their annual picnic at the American Legion pavilion, with 67 people in attendance. Prior to the picnic, "The Lord's Prayer" and the Pledge of Allegiance were recited.
The picnic was organized by President Joe McDonald, and Betty and Phil Guadagno, vice president and treasurer.
The club provided hot dogs, hamburgers and chicken for the picnic.
Price Chopper provided a variety of desserts. Judy Emond, an employee of Price Chopper, along with her husband, Frank, served them.
Joe Furman was the chef who cooked the meat.
Also helping with the cleanup were Dennis Jacobs and Nancy McWilliams.
A penny sale was organized and carried out by Donna Chambers, program director, with help from Toni Hallenbeck, Patti Moran and Shirley Michan. The proceeds were given to the treasurer for the annual Christmas party, a news release said.
The next Fulton?County Office for Aging luncheon will be Wednesday. There will be no meeting. The speaker will be Wayne Clark, curator from the Saratoga Military Museum. The program will be open to anyone interested regardless of age. The program will be at 12:30 p.m. at the Broadalbin Presbyterian Church, 54 W. Main St.
For the senior OFA meal, reservations must be made in advance.
