BROADALBIN - A retirement party for Broadalbin?Senior Citizens trip chairwoman Pat Ryfa was held June 8 at the Raindancer restaurant with 85 people in attendance.
After 28 years as trip chairwoman, Ryfa decided to step down to be able to go on trips and relax. Her many years of service has given the group an opportunity to go many places, seeing and participating in many events, shows and programs, a news release said.
Joe McDonald, president, presented Ryfa with a gift of earrings and a ring from the group. Ryfa also received a corsage and cake was served.
Several who attended spoke about their memories of trips, wishing Ryfa well.
Sandy Bruse composed and sang a farewell song to Ryfa.
A huge card was made by Ruth Lee and signed by all. Lee was the chairwoman of the event.
The Fulton?County Office for Aging picnic will be Aug. 4 at the Concordia Park in Gloversville. Tickets will cost $8. Donna Chambers has tickets to sell for the group. People interested can contact her at the next meeting.
