Herbert and Gail Tallardy of Caroga Lake recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
The couple met at a Yale and Brown Football game in the fall of 1959 and married May 21, 1961, in Redding, Conn.
Gail Tallardy is from the Marsh Dairy family of Easton, Conn. Herbert Tallardy is the son of Arthur and Elizabeth Tallardy of Redding, Conn.

They have three children, Peter and Sherrie Tallardy of Torrington, Conn. and Michelle Tallardy Jones of Charlotte, N.C.; and three grandchildren, Luke and Wyatt Jones and Peter Tallardy II of Branford, Conn.
Gail Tallardy worked for Parks Children Stores and later for G. Fox as an associate and bridal registra. She works as an associate for the Gloversville Walmart.
Herbert Tallardy worked for Dictograph, and Acousicon as a hearing aid repair technician and later started Connecticut Service Labs of Easton, Conn. He later worked for ITT Flygt Corp. as a pump technician. He was a member of the East End Yacht Club of Bridgeport, Conn. He was a board member for 11 years, Bishop Cup Race chairman in 1990 and 1991, and a rear commadore in 1995-96.
They enjoy spending time with their grandchildren at their home in Caroga Lake.
