Johnstown club plans July trip

JOHNSTOWN - The Johnstown 50 Plus Club - housed in the Shirley J. Luck Senior Citizens Center, 109 E. Main St.- met June 2 at noon with seven officers in attendance. The meeting then was opened to the club members with 42 in attendance. The guest speaker was city Mayor Sarah Slingerland.

The Desert Theater will perform at the center today and Sunday. There are no tickets available for the Sunday performance, but there are still a few for the performance tonight at 7 p.m.

On Thursday, there will be the jubilee tea honoring all members age 75 or older.

Friday will be the trip for the Culinary Institute of America. A few tickets are still available and can be purchased at the business office at the center.

On June 26, the Social Sunday will be at Rippepi's in St. Johnsville. The tickets are $13.

Tickets are still available for the lobsterfest in Hunts Landing, Pa., on July 21. Browns bus will pick up those attending at 8:30 a.m. at the center.
