Michelle Jackson, daughter of Vern and Peggy Jackson of Johnstown, was united in marriage to Adam Lawton, the son of Steve and Marie Lawton of Montour Falls, Schuyler County, on April 16.
The ceremony took place at the Elmira Country Club in Elmira, Chemung County. Judge Raymond Berry officiated.
The bride was escorted by her father.

The matron of honor was Ryanne Sunquist of Erin, Chemung County. The bridal attendants were Laurie Gustafson of Marshfield, Mass., and Jessica Ketchum of Corning, Steuben County.
The best man was Rex Sunquist of Erin. The groomsman was Jonathan Lawton of East Meadow, Nassau County, brother of the bridegroom; and Eric Jackson of Ossining, Westchester County, brother of the bride.
A reception followed the ceremony at the Elmira Country Club.
A wedding trip took place at Myrtle Beach, S.C. The couple resides in Montour Falls.
The bride is a 1995 graduate of Johnstown High School and a 1999 graduate of Elmira College. She is employed as a day habilitation program coordinator at The Arc of Schuyler.
The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of Odessa-Montour Central School and a 2005 graduate of Elmira College. He is employed as a youth program coordinator for the Schuyler County Youth Bureau.
