CAROGA LAKE - The meeting of the Nick Stoner Senior Citizens was called to order by President Grace Bevington-Eglin at 1 p.m. May 17 with 28 people in attendance.
The prayer "Dear Friend" and "The Lord's Prayer" were by Harriet Flansburg.
The Pledge of Allegiance, "hello neighbor," and hospitality and sunshine reports were given by Flansburg. A get-well card was sent to Marilyn Goodwin.
On June 7, for refreshments, several members will make cookies for the meeting.
The membership report was given by Mary Bennett.
Anyone interested in the June 14 trip to Turning Stone Casino in Verona, can call Bevington-Eglin at 762-2537. The money for the trip will be due June 7.
Linda Walsh gave the secretary's report, which was accepted.
Shirley Holliday gave the treasurer's report.
In new business, people were reminded to keep in touch with Judy Devoe in Florida, a news release said. Holliday read a letter from Synnose and Wallace Pina who are in Florida. Bev Briggs returned from Florida.
Two new members signed up, Kathy Ermie and Sally Ann Malagisi.
Walsh made a motion to donate $50 to the Camp Superstars handicapped program, which was seconded by Geri Scocco.
The refreshments were served by Alice Loux, Ruth Bleyl, Donna Dise and Bevington-Eglin.
Scocco and Bennett won the 50-50. An umbrella, donated by Hilda Davis, was won by Bleyl.
Bevington-Eglin called bingo.
