Clara and Stephen Swarts of Gloversville announce the engagement of their daughter, Kym Marie Swarts, to Timothy DeFranco, the son of Donna Tschetter and Johe DeFranco of Saratoga.
Swarts received a bachelor's degree in education from LeMoyne College. She is a second-grade teacher at Boulevard School.
DeFranco received a bachelor's degree in engineering and management from Clarkson College. He is a program manager at General Electric.
