Hospital stay was pleasant

April 7, 2011
The Leader Herald

I am writing in regard to the nursing staff at the birthing center at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. These women are phenomenal at their profession. They made me feel like I was at home with family. On March 13, I needed an emergency C-section after being admitted, and the operating room staff was amazing. They prepped me in record time and made me feel so comfortable. With their light personalities and conversation, I was not even nervous. The whole team delivered my baby safely and with such care and concern for all of us, making my husband also part of the team.

During my hospital stay, these ladies were extremely attentive. Whether it was during the day or night, their sweet personalities and conversation made my hospital stay very pleasant.

Dr. John Mycek, whom I had not even met during my pregnancy, was on call and took me in as a patient that day and delivered my daughter. I am so thankful to him and his quick decision making.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Nathan Littauer's birthing center and think so highly of the staff there. The beautiful memory of the birth of our daughter is that much more precious because of these professionals.
