JOHNSTOWN - The Vegan Venue will celebrate the 2011 Great American Meatout at Sir William Johnson Park on East Main Street on March 21 from noon to 2 p.m.
There will be free food, vegan recipes and literature. The public is invited.
Meatout is a diet education campaign, according to a news release. Organizers encourage a diet of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, nuts and seeds.
The Vegan Venue is a not-for-profit vegan information and outreach organization.
