GREECE, N.Y. (AP) — State police have issued an Amber Alert for a teenage girl they believe has been abducted from upstate New York by someone who might be headed to Ohio.

Local media in Rochester report that 16-year-old Cassidy Geffert of Greece disappeared around 10 a.m. Monday. Police describe her as white, 5-foot-6, about 145 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing pajama shorts.

Police say the girl's cell phone was left behind, along with a blood-stained note indicating she was in danger. Authorities say the house was in disarray, with a knife on the floor and a .38-caliber handgun missing.

Police are looking for a black, four-door Saab sedan with New York license plate number GMM9136 that was taken from the scene.
