Joann and Walter Messak of Amsterdam announce the engagement of their daughter, Genevieve Messak, to Jarred Aldi of Johnstown, the son of the late Darlene Clizbe of Johnstown and Michael Aldi Jr. of Mannasas, Va.
Messak received a bachelor's degree from The College of St. Rose, where she is working toward a master's degree in English. She is employed by Stewarts Shops Inc. and Hamilton-Fulton-Montgomery Board of Cooperative Educational Services.
Aldi received an associate's degree from Fulton-Montgomery Community College. He is employed by Lexington ARC.
