Courtney VanAuskas, the daughter of Frank and Linda VanAuskas of Gloversville, was united in marriage to Eugene Spiak, the son of Jacob and Daria Spiak of Colonie, at 4 p.m. Oct. 8, 2010.

The ceremony took place at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Watervliet, Albany County. The Rev. Mikhail Myshchuk officiated.

The man of honor was Michael DeSantis of Montclair, N.J. The bridal attendant was Trisha Brown of Tempe, Ariz.

The best man was Christian Spiak of Knightdale, N.C., brother of the bridegroom. The groomsman was Alan Guidera of Rochester.

A reception followed the ceremony at The Stockade Inn, Schenectady.

A wedding trip of a Mediterranean cruise took place in Greece, Turkey, Egypt and Italy. The couple resides in Albany.
