Deborah and John Callery of Johnstown announce the engagement of their daughter, Kari Ann Callery, to Charles James MacDougall, the son of Linda and the late Ted MacDougall of Amsterdam.
Callery, a graduate of Johnstown High School, received a bachelor's degree in education at the State University of New York at Oneonta, Otsego County, and a master's degree in education and psychology at The College of St. Rose. She is a fifth-grade language arts teacher for the Fonda-Fultonville Central School District.
MacDougall, a graduate of Amsterdam High School, is the owner of C & M Construction.
