Courtney L. Hines, the daughter of James and Beth Hines of Johnstown, was united in marriage to Cedric B. Gaddis, the son of Willie and Linda Gaddis of Rochester at 1 p.m. Aug. 14.
The ceremony took place at the Hope Lutheran Church, Rochester. The Rev. Paul Koehn of Albany officiated.
The bride was escorted by her father.

The maids of honor were Amanda and Danielle Hines of Johnstown, sisters of the bride. The bridal attendants were: Andrea Gaddis of Rochester, sister of the bridegroom; Kaye Karpoy of Johnstown and Molly Brewer of Lockport, Niagara County. The junior bridesmaid was Molly Hines of Rochester and the flower girl was Taylor Rachon of Poland, Herkimer County, both cousins of the bride.
The best man was Chris Parris of Rochester. The groomsmen were: Brandon Hines of Johnstown, brother of the bride; Drew Illner and Jeff Smith, both of Ohio; and Shannon Loomis of Scotia. The junior groomsman was Vance Blocker of Rochester, cousin of the bridegroom.
A reception for 200 guests took place at the Rochester Club Ballroom.
A wedding trip took place in the Dominican Republic. The couple resides in Latham.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Johnstown High School and is working towards a doctorate degree in physical therapy.
The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate from Spencerport High School. He is the assistant director of the higher education opportunities program and the mens' and womens' tennis coach of the Sage Colleges.
