Colleen Nellis of Johnstown announces the engagement of her daughter, Jade Kelly Malone, to Christopher David Houtz, the son of Margaret Houtz and the late William Houtz.
Malone, who is a 2001 graduate of Johnstown High School, is a 2005 graduate of Keene State College, where she received a bachelor's degree in psychology and is working toward a master's degree in industrial/organizational psychology. She is employed by the AAA Carolinas as a human resources generalist in Charlotte, N.C.
Houtz is a 2001 graduate of Johnstown High School and a 2006 graduate of the State university of New York at Plattsburgh, Clinton County, where he received a bachelor's degree in environmental science. He is a third-year electrical apprentice for the Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee and is employed by the International Brotherhood of Electronic Workers, Charlotte, N.C.
