Oppenheim seniors slate meeting

DOLGEVILLE -The following is for the Oppenheim Senior Citizens.

On Monday, The seniors will have their last business meeting for the year. After the covered dish lunch at noon, the officers for next year will be installed. The annual reports are due. Everett Quackenbush has been invited as a guest for the lunch, and he will speak about the budget and answer questions. He is the liaison officer between the town of Oppenheim and the senior citizens organization. It is the last time to sign up and pay for the dinner Friday. On Friday, there will be the Christmas party. The pot roast dinner will be catered by Bonnie Stowell. In lieu of gifts, each senior will bring a $5 donation for the food pantry. Entertainment will be provided by Janet Shuster and 2-3 Choralairs.

On Dec. 15, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, Julie Oare will be at the center to help residents regarding the Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage, Medicare Part D prescription plan.

The center will be open every Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to noon for crafts, games, and puzzles. Coffee is served and maybe soup and sandwiches.

The next regular meeting will be at noon March 7.
