Bannertown club plans bake, craft sale

MAYFIELD - The Bannertown 50 Plus Club met Wednesday. President Carl Edwards led in devotions and "The Lord's Prayer." A moment of silence was made for member Lynette Keane, who recently died. Lunch was served with 20 people in attendance.

Edwards opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance. The reports of the secretary and treasurer were accepted as read.

Under old business, the group will have a bake and craft sale from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and photos taken with Santa from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 11 at the Johnstown Mall.

Under new business, on Dec. 29 there will be a New Year's party, catered by the Mayfield Diner.

At the next meeting Dec. 15, the Mayfield Elementary School chorus will provide the entertainment. Also the November and December birthdays will be observed. Nancy Hayes, Sherin Akey and Shirley Frederick will serve refreshments.

The prizes were won by: Anne Mallin, door prize; Lori Valk, 50-50; and Mid Ellithorpe, $1.
