Linda Jean (Leigh) Anderson of Mayfield lost her battle with gall bladder cancer on September 23, 2010, at her home.
Linda was born in Amsterdam, N.Y., to the late Virginia and James Leigh and graduated from Wilber Lynch High School. She retired from General Electric after 42 years of service as manager of balance of plant in the Gas Turbin Division. She was a member of the Elfun Society and the VASA Order of America.
She is survived by: her husband of 24 years, Ivar Anderson; her children, Lauri Slosek and Kelly Chevalier of Scotia, N.Y., Todd (Kim) Anderson of Rhonert Park, Calif.,, Tami (Gerhard) Fuchs of Gainsville, Fla., Tina (Bill Brady), Malibu, Calif., Trasie Anderson, Savanah, Ga.; her brother, David Leigh; and her sister, Marilyn (Frances) Stevens; nieces, nephews, cousins and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at West Charlton United Presbyterian Church, 1331 Sacandaga Rd., West Charlton on October 23, 2010, at 11:30 in the morning followed by a luncheon in celebration of her life at Maryann's Resturant, Route 29, Broadalbin, N.Y. Friends and family are all welcome to attend.
