JOHNSTOWN - Two people were injured, with one taken by helicopter to Albany Medical Center Hospital, after an accident investigated by Fulton County sheriff's deputies Thursday on Route 29A, south of West State Street Extension.

Deputies said Jeep driver Robert W. Brown, 65, of Box 418, Caroga Lake, suffered leg injuries and was taken by emergency medical services helicopter to the center. His passenger - Gloria Brown, 65 -complained of unspecified injuries and was taken to Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville.

Deputies said the other driver - Cameron J. Eutermarks, 19, of 41 Spring Ave., Gloversville - was ticketed on a charge of failure to keep right.

Deputies said Eutermarks was traveling south on Route 29A in a 2004 Chrysler he was road testing for 4 X Heaven garage in Gloversville when the steering locked up. The vehicle crossed into the northbound lane, colliding with Brown's oncoming 1988 Jeep pickup.

Brown's vehicle spun around and rolled over onto its roof before coming to rest on the northbound shoulder of Route 29A.

Sheriff Thomas J. Lorey said several emergency services assisted at the scene, including the Meco Volunteer Fire Department, the Ambulance Service of Fulton County and the helicopter.

He said he did not believe there were any life- threatening injuries sustained as a result of the crash.
